The story of Fluffy Lumpkins
Fluffy Lumpkins began closer to home than expected. I’m Patrick, and together with my cat Peach, we started something small that slowly grew into what Fluffy Lumpkins is today.
OUR BEGINNING
How it started
Peach arrived as a shy and scared kitten after being found by the roadside and spending some time in a shelter.
With patience and love, he grew into a big, confident cat.
‘Well, only tough with me.’
His favourite place soon became a scratching post I made by hand. Seeing how much joy and comfort that simple place gave him stayed with me.
What started as a search for the right place for Peach to rest and play became something bigger.
OUR PURPOSE
Why Fluffy Lumpkins exists
Fluffy Lumpkins grew from the belief that cats deserve more than just a product.
They deserve a place that feels safe and familiar. A place where they can rest, play, and simply be themselves.
Only together can we build a home for every cat that has had a rough start.
OUR CRAFT
Made with love and care
At Fluffy Lumpkins, every detail matters.
Our scratching posts are designed with cats in mind, no matter their size, age, or personality. They combine the sturdiness of nature with the softness cats long for.
Each piece is handcrafted from locally sourced chestnut wood from France, combined with recycled or EU-made fabrics. The result is furniture that feels natural, elegant, and durable.
OUR DREAM
Dreams for the future
We believe that caring for cats goes beyond creating beautiful, comfortable things for them.
As Fluffy Lumpkins grows, we want to give something back to the cats who need it most, by supporting small, independent cat rescues across France, especially those run by a handful of dedicated people who give their time and energy to cats in need.
And one day, we hope to create a sanctuary of our own: a safe, peaceful place where abandoned cats, and those still waiting for a home, can be cared for, loved and given all the time they need.
It’s a long-term dream, and we know it will take time.
Because for us, Fluffy Lumpkins has always been about making life a little better for cats.
What matters to us
Designed around your cat
Every piece starts with one question: how does a cat like to stretch, climb, scratch and rest? We make it by hand, slowly, until it feels right.
A safe place, like home
Peach came to us scared. A safe place helped him find his confidence. We design for that feeling, for every cat, whatever their size, age or personality.
Good for cats, good for shelters
A part of every purchase supports small independant animal shelters, so more cats with a rough start can find a home of their own.
French chestnut, made to stay
Locally sourced chestnut from France, recycled or EU-made fabrics. Natural, sturdy and made to last, never made to follow a trend.
